Chiropractic is a holistic practice that helps maintain the health of your nervous system by improving the communication between your brain and your body. As humans, we all have the incredible ability to heal (think about when you get a bruise - you don’t need to tell it how to heal, it just goes away on its own!). And this goes for just about everything in the body, but sometimes stress, lifestyle, and chronic injuries get in the way of that innate ability to heal. Chiropractic adjustments combat those blocks by balancing the nervous system, improving your brain body connection, and allowing your body's innate healing ability to strengthen.
All that to say chiropractic care can help you with all sorts of aches and pains, from neck pain, low back pain, headaches, migraines, to GI pain, lack of balance, feelings of anxiety/depression and more.
We’re going to go so far as to say Chiropractic care is the #1 way you can improve your posture. Dr. Hailey is a Certified Postural Neurologist so she has additional training on how to utilize chiropractic care and neurology in an approachable way that will create lasting, positive changes to your posture.
Whether you’re wanting to work on your posture as a preventative measure because you know that working at a desk job increases your likelihood of having posture problems, or you have noticed that you have “tech neck” or “hunch back” and you want to do something about it, beginning a posture program is a great place to start.

You nervous system impacts and/or controls everything that goes on in your body. Every system, every movement, every thought, every breath, every reaction… Your nervous system is made up of your brain, spinal cord, and nervous tissue. Your spinal cord is protected by your spine, and when you receive a chiropractic adjustments, it impacts your nervous system receptors at that joint to reset communication between your brain and body. So with each adjustment, you’re impacting your nervous system, which impacts your whole body.
Many people do this, but unfortunately it is not the same as a chiropractic adjustment. The “popping” that you hear when you crack your neck/back or that you hear with certain chiropractic techniques is a release of gas from the joint capsule. The process of it releasing sends “feel good” signals up to your brain, which is why a lot of people get addicted to self-cracking. Unfortunately, when you self crack, you tend to “pop” the joint just above or just below the joint that is actually maligned. What this means is that you’re not actually fixing the problem, and worse yet, you’re creating instability in the joint that you keep popping that didn’t need to be popped in the first place. This can lead to injury and even disc problems down the line.
Bottom line, it’s much better to leave the “popping” to Dr. Hailey. If you have a habit of self cracking your neck or back, let her know and she will show you some exercises that help to break the habit and restore stability to your spine.
At our studio, we take every measure to make sure you’re super comfortable during your adjustment. Dr. Hailey has various sizes of pregnancy pillows which allow you to safely & comfortably lay on your stomach for your adjustment. The actual adjustments are also very gentle and various techniques can be used to best suit your changing body through the duration of your pregnancy.
For all the same reasons you need chiropractic care when you’re not pregnant, and more! Some women experience a range of aches and pains throughout pregnancy and they are often not given great tools to deal with them, especially since they can’t take the same medications as they maybe would have if they weren’t pregnant. Getting chiropractic adjustments can help decrease or remove those symptoms and on top of that, chiropractic care also ensures that you have proper alignment in your pelvis and low back. This is crucial because there are actual ligaments that connect these bones to your uterus, so proper alignment gives you a better chance of healthy positioning and an easier delivery.
Certainly! Your body just went through an incredible event and now everything is changing again. Getting chiropractic adjustments postpartum will help make sure your joints are settling back into proper alignment and improve your brain body connection as you heal your pelvis and pelvic floor.
Chiropractic adjustments never turn a breech baby. Instead, what they do is align the pelvis and spine, improve nervous system communication between the brain and the body, and remove inter-uterine constraint so there is more room for the baby to move into the proper head-down position on their own. Webster method can be used to help reduce this inter-uterine constraint.
Kids have a nervous system too, so it’s important to take care of it; just like adults! Adjusting kids helps to improve their posture, remove or prevent tech neck, and set them up for success with optimal balance, coordination, and nerve signaling.
Even newborns can benefit from chiropractic care. It can be a difficult journey for them to come out into the world! Sometimes if there are misalignments, there can be inability to nurse on one side, constipation, gassiness, and more so we always encourage all parents to get their babies checked just to make sure brain body communication is in tip top shape.
Yes. Pediatric chiropractic care is gentle, specific, and safe. The techniques are non-invasive and most kids end up loving coming into the studio for their sessions.
