I am ALL about mind body work! Check out the latest episode of the Boob Report podcast with Dr. Hailey discussing how it all ties in with healing.
"Your body is going to respond to whatever it is that's going on in the best way that it possibly can for the purpose of survival. The area of the brain that is causing that response cares the most about surviving in that particular moment (rather than thriving) and it uses whatever tools you have at the time. For example, let's say with your diagnosis, you had a set of tools at that time (of your diagnosis), and you responded in a particular way based on those tools. But then those tools are going to change and improve over time. Maybe you have people helping your, or maybe you've done work on yourself, whatever it is, those tools change over time, but you still have this pattern that you created during that initial stressful event. So then it's really important to look at that, try to resolve it, and basically take the charge our of that moment, so you don't keep having that same body stress response now that you're in a different space. And that is something that you see over the course of someone's journey. "
